My name is Daniel Quitschau. I’m a 20-year-old webmaster, writer, and student at Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. Economics have long since interested me, which has also sparked an interest in related fields of study, such as politics, sociology, psychology, theology, and philosophy.
I am a proponent of small government, free trade, lower taxes, civil liberties, and on the most basic level – liberty. I do not align myself with a political party. I consider myself a libertarian (not a Libertarian). I strongly believe in the principles of self-ownership. The role of government should be minimal to allow a functioning society; business and personal decisions that do not infringe on the rights of others should be left to the individual. Governments should not police morality.
Among my favorite political and economic books are The Revolution, A Manifesto (by Ron Paul) and Free to Choose (by Milton Friedman).
I consider myself moderately knowledgeable in most political and economic topics, but I recognize that there is almost always something to learn. Hopefully through this blog I will not only share my knowledge with others, but I will also learn something myself.
If you have any questions about me, this site, or my political views, feel free to email me or add a comment.
